About the event

Some of the best garlic in the U.S. comes from our state, and Jerry Ford has been growing and selling it at Living Song Farm north of Howard Lake since 2003. He is a co-author of the recent University of Minnesota publication, "Growing Garlic in Minnesota".  In this class, he will cover everything a gardener needs to grow great garlic, including getting the right seed, avoiding disease problems, soil prep, planting, harvesting and curing.

TIP: The time to get good seed garlic is in August/September for fall planting, and you can shop for over 50 varieties at the Minnesota Garlic Festival on August 9.
