About the event

Olena Johnson will be back to teach us this easy, low-cost method of starting plants outdoors in late winter in a hands-on workshop. The clear gallon milk jugs act as miniature greenhouses that protect plants from harsh weather while allowing natural cold stratification. Participants will be able to take home 2-3 plant starts and know how to care for them. Please bring 2-3 clear and clean gallon plastic (water or milk) jugs if you can. We will have some extras as well that people can use.

The class fee per person is $3 (payable at the class). The first 25 registrants will be able to participate in this workshop. Beyond that number, anyone on the waiting list is welcome to come and observe for free and may also be able to participate if spots open up. Should you need to cancel, please let us know by emailing connect@dcsustainableliving.org.
