About the event
Learn simple ways to reduce waste with these fun make and take projects that you can use in your everyday life. Sew your own reusable napkins or “unpaper” towels and assemble a travel utensil kit that can replace disposable plastic utensils. Build your own raised garden bed and start some plants to begin a mini herb garden in your own backyard. Start a worm composting bucket and, with leftover kitchen scraps, learn how to create “garden gold” that will help your plants grow healthy and strong. Make some creative plant markers to add a little whimsy to your garden.
Classes will run April 15-17 M-W 3:15-4:45p at the Dassel-Cokato High School.
For kids in grades 6-12. Limited to 12 participants. This activity is offered in partnership with Dassel-Cokato Community Education. Required registration available here: https://dc.cr3.rschooltoday.com/public/costoption/class_id/10531
